We had an excellent harvest at both ranches last year and you can see by the pictures that the deer did well even though it turned off very dry in the fall.

We've been experiencing some of the worst drought conditions we've seen in years. So far, the deer are doing well but we'll have to wait and see how things turn out. The bucks are growing their antlers right now so it's hard to tell how much they've been affected. Both ranches have an extensive watering system consisting of both water troughs and stock tanks located throughout the ranch which ensures that the deer and other wildlife always have adequate water. Los Amigos Ranch also has some pivot irrigation that allows us to plant oats in the fall to provide another source of feed.
